Just to make sure, try:
mysql -u ser -h localhost -p
And see if you still get access denied. Connecting directly via the socket and
connecting as though to an external host (in this case, localhost) actually
give you different results. If that works, we can ensure that's not part of
the equation.

However, ser seems to have problems connecting to Mysql. I created

I've obviously changed the password back here to heslo but I can
assure you that I've copied and pasted, typed by hand and pretty
much confirmed multiple times that my password is valid..
