Hi Kevin,
cpl-c module uses database to store some binary data (as BLOB type) and it was tested only against the mysql module. I don't know what will be the impact of using the text database for storing binary data.
Anyhow, a databsae modules is required for running cpl-c module.

Hi Bogdan,
I am interested for using the cpl-c module with ser. Is that necessary to use mySQL with cpl-c? Can I use dbtext instead?
you can give it a try! Would be better to have some reports about dbtext
behavior with a large amount of data. But be aware that dbtext is not designed for large deployments. If you run SER in production better use
MySQL or PostgreSQL. Also, I think that the CGI for CPL editor used to upload/download CPL scripts via HTTP supports only MySQL. If the CPL scripts are uploaded/downloaded via SIP then it will work with any database engine that SER uses.
Could you provide me more instruction and sample ser.cfg for using cpl-c?
Until Bogdan returns from vacation you may find some information about in README (online at:
http://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/ser/sip_router/modules/cpl-c/READM...).

Thanks!

A new release (1.2) of CPLEd is available now at: https://developer.berlios.de/projects/cpled/
Works great against ser with the new cpl-c modules ;-)
