Of course there's kphone SIP UA out there.
But we have had very good results in the wide area with our custom tool: the audio tool RAT (http://www-mice.cs.ucl.ac.uk/multimedia/software/rat/) plus VOCAL's Sipset, which we could make available for testing.
Piers O'Hanlon (CC'd) could provide you with more info and s/w on request.
