This is a recurring question on this list.
 
you *must* put the line:
 
lookup("aliases");
 
in your ser.cfg file, then restart ser, then try to add an alias.

When trying to add an alias I get error 400 Table not found, but the table is there. I did a my_sql.sh reinit and still the same error. If I do a select * from aliases it says table empty (ok).
