The problem here is that the radiusclient library must be provided by an
RPM package. You probably installed it from sources or from a tarball
(since the library is in /usr/local).
rpm does not 'see' the library because no rpm package provides it and does
not allow you to install the ser-radius package.
You can either get radiusclient RPM package from
http://rpmfind.net or
try to install ser-radius with no-deps or force parameters (if you are
sure that you have proper radiusclient library installed).

I wnet ahead and added it and ran ldconfig:

libradiusclient.so.0 -> libradiusclient.so.0.0.1
I have the same error coming up - "libradiusclient.so.0 cannot be found"

Have You run "ldconfig" after installing the Radius Client?

Subject: [Serusers] Installing SER Radius problem
I am running Redhat ES 3. I have installed the
SER 8.12 RPM. I am
trying to install the ser-radius-0.8.12-0.i386.rpm, and am getting an
error. It states that the libradiusclient.so.0 cannot be found. I
installed the radius client, and I checked and libradiusclient.so.0
exists in the /usr/local/lib directory.
Any ideas?
