I an unable to figure out, how do I have to adopt table definition from ser
to openser. Can you please provide more details, how do i have to configure
it.

For your question - yes. I installed serweb (CVS version somewhere in
August) and used it with openser. Probably you have to adopt table
definitions from ser to openser.
