I just implemented sipsak this morning for Nagios, sipsak natively supports Nagios compliant responses. This accomplishes the following that check_tcp doesn't. layer7 response (layer3 is fine and dandy but why not go all the way) checks for correct callflow checks authentication (if needed??)
