ok, note that
there is a core parameter in kamailio.cfg to
enable/disable the feature when MEM_JOIN_FREE is defined.
What exactly does this do? Does it attempt to avoid fragmentation by
recycling free fragments into larger, contiguous blocks of memory?
Yes, this is what it does.
I'm wondering by the way if there is any practical use for being able
to disable it. TLSF memory manager does not allow to disable fragment
join yet, and I wonder if there would be any advantage in implementing
it.
