hello richards,
does cpled exist as a independent process
can we check with the command ps -ef
how to ensure that cpled process is running
when i use the command ngrep port 5060 -d lo
it s not showing any messages
in ethereal it s showing 401 message i think
unauthorised and that client is not registering
with regards serdiehard

it should be "ngrep port 5060 -d lo" if cpled is running on the same host as ser.

Not quite sure if cpled is sending the message.
Can
you ngrep the sip message? If it sends from localhost, need to use option "-d lo". A good cpl-c
