the error was is the freeradius
if you still encounter it
you should use the cvs sources instead of the official release.
the config file for ser is standard it doesn't require any extra implementation
if you want to use radius for AAA you just need to change the authenticating
methods in ser.cfg to radius authenticating ones
ofcourse you need to install a radiusclient aplication and configure the radius_auth module
but this is not complicated (described in the module documentation on iptel)

unfortunatelly configuration of radius might be a little bit complecated
I have everything in the database so it's rather difficult to send it:)
There is a good documentation in the doc directory in radius distribiution
- try there!:)
