yes, you have first to do authentication for the user (to auto load the
RPID from subscriber table) and to use "append_rpid_hf" function (see
the auth module).

Actually, I don't see it. Is there something I
need to put in openser.cfg
to send a RPID header?

Shane,
are you sure that the RPID hdr actually gets into the message forwarded
to MAXTNT?

I did figure out a way to accomplish this with a
cludge. I was using
usernames without the phone number. If a number is used it works. However
the MAXTNT should support RPID and its features such as privacy etc. I've
tried to use the RPID but without a raw SIP trace of a working TNT its like
shooting in the dark. Anyone out there have a working RPID with TNT or
other gateway? Thanks to everyone who has responded to this.

How about to set RPID in the dial plan using append_hf instead of
subscriber table?

Anyone else using openser with the TNT? I've dug into the TNT manual but
it
doesn't seem to give a spec of what makes
caller presentation work. A
packet trace of a working SIP to MAXTNT would be great then I could
determine what was missing.
TIA
