Hello,
this is normal. It is caused by the way how Messenger implements
presence.
If you sign in then your Messenger tries to subscribe to the presence
of all users on your buddy list. For users which are currently online the
subscription succeeds and your Messenger will get presence updates in real
time.
If one of them is offline then the subscription fails and Messenger
tries to resubscribe later. During that period of time you will see your
buddy offline even if it signs up. You will see him online once your
Messenger tries to subscribe again and the subscription succeeds.

Hi all,
I would like to know what other ser users use for voice menus? For
instance, the first thing I would like to do in this area is;
When a caller rings our phone nuber they get a pre-recorded voice
message; "If you know your parties ext# please dial, or else choose from
one of the following options. Dial 1# for sales, 2# for...."
Thanks,
-Emil

hi,
I have to location databases - one called 'location' used for saving
REGISTERs and one called 'aliases' used for aliases. usrloc insists on
expiring entries from 'aliases' even though the expires field is set to
NULL. is this desirable? I would prefer if NULL expire values where left
alone for manual expire.
if we like to change this, I can create a patch.

Hi,
I would like to take this oportunity to say that SER is Fantastic!
We have been using it to power our SIP Services for over 5 months now (Version
0.8.10 and 0.8.11 now). We have been really surprised by its stability and
effectiveness. It has never ever crashed and it has processed tens of
thousands of calls for us. Thanks to Jiri, Jan, Andrei and all other
developers that made this possible.
The nathelper/rtpproxy module developed by Maxim has also enabled us to reach
customers we were unable to before. We are happy to report that in the 2
months we have used the new rtpproxy module, it has worked flawlessly.
I just wish other software were this stable. Asterisk for one seems to crash
pretty often on us, but when its up, it works great too.
Thanks Again and best regards.
Andres

hi,
is it possible to set the alias using values from a table? something like
is_from_local, but is_to_local instead?
adding a domain in my current setup requires me to reload the
configuration file, something I like to avoid if possible.

Hello ser users,
I will be in the upcoming VoN in Boston. I will be glad to meet in person
with people heading there too. Just drop me an email to arrange some time.

Any ideas on this? Am I trying to implement the feature wrong?
Thanks,
Stephen
I have installed the new version and am still seeing the same problem.
This is the line in the config file that it doesn't like.

I see -- that's actually a bug in SER. We only tested for remote
voicemail and never gave an intergrated version a try. It is now
fixed on CVS. Feel free to update from CVS, recompile and retry.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for reporting.
