Hi all.
I occasionally get this message in /var/log/messages
get_contact_uri: Error while parsing Contact body
Should I be concerned with this? If so, what is the recommended action I should
take to deal with this?
Regards,
Paul

Hi There everyone,
I have a wierd one for you! I have SER 8-12.0 running on redhat 9 i386.
MySQL and Ser MySQL are installed and working. Authentication works fine
The problem is that none of my users can call each other (via X-lite) or see each other on Messenger!
I have two Win 2000 client machines each running xlite and MS Messenger both registered okay.
UL list shows the following (Numeric aor's are the XLite and Named aor are from Messenger) In this example both machines are behind the same NAT firewall but it's the same if I take on of the clients onto a seperate direct internet connection.
Ser.cfg is below also
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks for your help!
Darren
[root@gandalf root]# serctl ul show

Hi All,
I was trying to test to send a fax to an international number.
Here's the setup:
FAX --> HT486 --> SIP PROXY --> GATEWAY --> PSTN --> FAX
Unfortunately I haven't been able to do it, I read somewhere that fax uses
G711 only, is this true? because our gateway provider uses only G729. does
this mean I can't send fax via that gateway, because of the codec?
So can i do this then,
FAX --> HT486 --> SIP PROXY --> HT486 --> FAX
i'll use G711 on both HT486.
Hope anyone can help me. Thanks in advanced.
Regards,
Ron
Yes, G711 (clear channel) is the only voice codec which you can use to send
a FAX. The G729 codec compresses the audio stream by removing all inaudible
frequencies, which FAX machines use, and so a FAX over G729 will always
fail.

Hello.
I had the same problem. You have to check the dictionary file in
the radiusclient directory. It must have the ATTRIBUTE "Failed".
Good luck

Hello Martin.
As far as i know this parameter changes if the Radius packet is
lost. For example if the first radius packet sent by a NAS to the Radius
Server is lost, then the next packet sent has Acct-Delay-Time = 5 (for
example), and so on.
Hope it helps.
Ricardo.-

Hello,
What are the criterias that influence the Acct-Delay-Time-Field Value in

Thanks,

I trying to get eyeBeam or Xpro work with SER, but with little luck.
What is the format of the URI you use for calling is it. Is it
SIP:username@domain.com
OR
SIP:username@sipserver.domain.com
I am running on a internal LAN where I have domain configured
specificall to have this setup going. SER runs on RHL and Xpro runs on
winXP
Any pointers will greatly help.
Thanks,

Hi All.
I pulled dev12 from berlios tonight and found that auth_db seems to be causing
a core dump when www_authorize and proxy_authorize are called.
Can anyone verify this as a bug?
Cheers,
Paul
