Hi all! I am interested in creating CDRs for calls made with ser, including the start time and the end time, but I am having trouble with it. I've read the acc module to be able to write CDRs, but the acc table contains information about each transaction.
How could be possible to generate CDRs for SER calls, including the start and the end (or lenght) of the call. Thank you beforehand for your help.

Hi guys!
I'm still with troubles with SER configured with rtpproxy or like outbound proxy!
When I make a call I can see packets traversing my proxy, but every time, after
30 seconds the call are ended!
Now I have founded with ngrep a new information that can be help:

Hi, I'm having trouble getting a SER system running. I'm new to the list, but I havent' found a working config for our setup. What I want to do is this:
SER server, NAT compatible for Internet-based users
PSTN calling via an Asterisk server.
I'm trying to use "Outbound Proxy" feature, like FWD uses, but I can't find the software that does that specifically. I searched everywhere for an "Outbound proxy" server, but can't find one. I tried the demo .cfg files for nathelper but I can't get them to work right.
Anyone have a similar cfg file?
Thanks,
Doug R.
Hello
I would like to know whether some of you has tested SER with DIAMETER
module and what problems happened.
Do you know where can I get a free diameter server to make my own tests?
Thank you very much

Dear serusers
Need your help:We installed SER successfully with serctl moni & MySQL working normally.Our server haven't any domain name just IP address with: 194.165.196.72.
There are two problem with the registration problem:
1,Authenticaiton problem: Be able to log on the server without username and password by SIP and working normally,but if use the digest authentication mode by uncomment of the code of :
# if (!www_authorize("194.165.196.72", "subscriber")) {
# www_challenge("194.165.196.72", "0");
# break;
# };,
the authentication cann't work with the subscribers in the list in MySQL database "ser".
2,NAT problem:While we log on the server with Windows Messager or other UA software with Public IP address,it works normally.But if we use the UA software behind the router(ADSL router) ,cann't log on the SER server,and the "serctl moni"will appear the UA software(behind router) log in location(LAN address as 192.168.1.2) and record it to the MySQL "location" table of database "ser".
How to solve the problem above? thanks very much.

Good day.
Installed it. Didn't yet configure it. Just brought it up. Have 2 clients
both running Windows Messenger under WinXP. They sign up. When trying to
send messages get "The message couldn't be delivered to all users" error
message. Weird thing the voice calls in Messenger get through easily!!!!
Sorry don't have time to go through all of the manuals for now but I've read
through the SIP protocol manual and as far as i now know there is no problem
in the connection itself, just within SER configuration. What should I do I
have to get the ser server running as soon as I can. Thank you all in
advance.

Hi,
I am really new with SER. I ve downloaded and installed
SER on red hat linux ver 9. The never ending problem which
I am facing is that as soon as i install mysql the SER
stops runing. i try to start it again through /sbin/ser
but i get an error msg. And the msg which i get is :
ERROR: loading config file(/usr/local/etc/ser/ser.cfg): No
such file or directory
... I ve got no clue why its giving me this message.
please help me out on this. Can you please send me step by
step guide lines for any messenger to downloaded and how
to configure mysql ver 4.0 so that I can benifit from
SER.
thanks
