[Serusers] 183 and no ringback tone

Hi, following situation: a local user sets a call forward to a PSTN number. When someone from PSTN is calling this user, the call is routed back to PSTN via the same or another gateway (doesn't matter). The problem is, that the caller doesn't hear a ringback tone (because of the 183 this should be generated out of the rtp stream, afaik). The Gateways are Cisco 5300. When I call this user from a Cisco ATA and get forwarded to PSTN via the GW, I hear the ringback tone, so I think this might be a problem between the Gateways!? I've attached the full sip trace of the call. I think you'll also need the RTP stream, but that isn't available, sorry. Btw, it doesn't help to force the rtp stream over the SER's machine with rtpproxy, same problem here. ACLs on the Gateways are OK. A hack would be to rewrite the 183 to 180, but I'd like to avoid such *really ugly* hacks :o) Does anyone know this problem? Regards, Andy

Hello list, I am new at ser :-) and have 2 questions and wonder if somebody can hint me in the correct direction. Some of my endpoints are behind nat. I understood that I can activate nathelper (or mangler??) to overcome this problem. What I don't understand is how i can activate (write the lines) this mecahnism for just the nated endpoints. All my endpoints are similar 1 port and 4 port gateways. Secondly I wonder if there are any more advanced ser.cfg examples at hand that describe the way of forwarding calls beginning with for example 00 to an asterisk box and examples of routing traffic to PSTN gateways would be more than welcome for me to study. Any example will do. Or can somebody hint me where to find this. The scripts that i have found sofar do not reveal what i like to establish. Thanks Alan, Ser to asterisk works now. It was quit easy indeed. According to your subtle remark NAT penetration is not so easy? [Serusers] fix_nated_sdp can check caller or calee from ??

[Serusers] sems CVS compile errors

Hi, Just checked out the latest version of sems from cvs 'make all' seems to be ok but 'make install' produces various errors (see below) A file called flite.h seems to be the core of the problem as it does not exist. Anyone has any ideas ? Hi, Looking back in the archives I see this problem referenced quite a lot. My issue seems to be the same as the others in the archive: In serweb/user_interface click on the subscribe button, fill in the details no problems. When going to the confirmation page I see the message: 400 Table 'aliases' not found in memory, use save("aliases") or lookup("aliases") in the configuration script first This is a snip of my config: if (uri=~"labbox-b.noclan.lab") { lookup("aliases"); if (method=="REGISTER") { # Uncomment this if you want to use digest authentication if (!www_authorize("labbox-b.noclan.lab", "subscriber")) { www_challenge("labbox-b.noclan.lab", "0"); break; }; save("location"); break; }; # native SIP destinations are handled using our USRLOC DB if (!lookup("location")) { sl_send_reply("404", "Not Found"); break; }; I have tried this config in variations: if (uri=="myself") { lookup("aliases"); if (uri=~"labbox-b.noclan.lab") { lookup("aliases") if (uri=~"labbox-b.noclan.lab") { lookup("aliases"); I have also tried adding the save("aliases") but this does not seem to be referenced as much as lookup("aliases"); Is this a simple syntax issue? Ser starts ok using any of the config variations. I will attach the full ser.cfg in case I have made errors else where in the file. Interestingly this seems to be a precursor for the error "error in SQL query, line: 43" that people see. The reason for this is that the user is added to the subscriber table, but is not removed from pending, so when you re-try you have a duplicate in the subscriber table and this I think is what generates the error. Any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks...

[Serusers] voicemail and missed call log

Hi all, Is it possible to setup a failure route with SER where I send the caller to the callee's voicemail and where I do account the call as missed ? I did some tests but I am not able to achieve both the functionalities: if I setup a failure route where I redirect the caller to the callee's voicemail I'm not able to log the call as missed ( I cannot use the acc_log_request() and acc_db_request() functions inside a failure route). Hi, I understand that ser script should always proxy-challenge for INVITE method to prevent maliciously using other's identity. Cisco 7960 only support www authenticate but not proxy authenticate. Hi, When I added an alias, it expired right away. I searched the archieve, it was supposed to be a bug a while ago and fixed. I am using a cvs version downloaded a couple weeks ago.
