I am struggling with SER 0.9.0 and RADIUS. I am vaguely familiar with Freeradius (which Iam using on the server) but not with radiusclient-ng (why was SER changed to use this new-fangled RADIUS implementation anyway?) The problem I have is that my SER box isn't sending RADIUS packets at all, and the complete lack of any useful radiusclient-ng documentation is less than helpful. I am trying to use radexample, radiusclient and radstatus to get RADIUS running independet of SER, with no joy. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

[Serusers] Can't restart my SER after eidting 'ser.cfg'

Hi All, Im a new user who is still learning. Error: unable to restart the SER using 'service ser restart' in the terminal after eidting the 'ser.cfg' file. Below was the result shown in the terminal. >From terminal: Stopping ser: [FAIL] Starting ser: [OK] Seem like SER just wont stop even using 'service ser stop'. Using 'service start' is ok. Pls help.... [Serusers] VIC kphone

Hi people.......well I have instaled the SER, kphone, X-lite(windows)..and all works very well.....I have instaled the VIC tool for Kphone, but it don't works very well; in the VIC window I can't see that camara focused like in the gnomemeeting can see.........Do you know any program that can do videoconferencing like gnomemeeting but with sip suport???

[Serusers] remote mysql server

I'm trying to get SER to talk to a remtoe DB, I notice other people in #SER on FreeNode also have this issue, but no one has a fix. I'm using the following in the config: modparam("usrloc|acc|auth_db|group|msilo", "db_url", "mysql::asterisk:passwd@dbserver/ser") Ser seems to be looking at /tmp/mysql.sock instead of the remote mysql server. Has anyone got this working? Thanks Barry

[Serusers] Problem with users logging in to server with local DB server

Ok so i'm still having issues with remote mysql, however for now I have also installed SER on the DB server, now when a user attempts to connect with X-lite they getting a "Login timed out! Hello List. I'm trying to use the LCR module submitted by Juha. I have a basic question. In the README file appears a description of the tables for the LCR module. How can i define this tables in my mysql database? i mean which is the type (VARCHAR?, INT?, etc. )for each column? I only found this in the mailing list : # # Table structure for table 'gw' # CREATE TABLE gw ( gw_name VARCHAR(128) NOT NULL, ip_addr INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL, port SMALLINT UNSIGNED, grp_id INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (gw_name), KEY (grp_id) ) $TABLE_TYPE; But how is the format for the lcr and gw_grp tables? I appreciate any help, Thanks Ricardo
