Hi,
I download rtpproxy from http://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/ser/rtpproxy/. But now I can't install it properly. I can't run 'configure' script.
My operate system is RedHat9.0.
Can you tell me how to deal with it?
Thanks a lot!!

Hi All,
How can I redirect calls to pstn to another gateway when one gateway doesn't
respond to an INVITE (maybe because it has a problem), or when that gateway
sends me 503 service unavailable or 404 not found.
TIA
Nhadie
Thanks Leon - that seem to have fixed that problem.

Delete
modparam("auth_db|usrloc", "db_url", "mysql://ser:heslo@localhost/ser")
from your cfg.
In my cfg(0.8.14), I never used it and it works.

According to error log, you should have syntax error in here:
fifo_db_url="mysql://ser:heslo@localhost/ser"
loadmodule "/usr/local/lib/ser/modules/mysql.so"
but these two lines looks good to me.
Are you sure, ser -E is using this configuration file?
why dont you try with -f switch, like ser -E -f /etc/ser/ser.cfg, assuming
your ser configuration file located at /et/ser/ser.cfg.
Thanks,
Mohammad
Here is the start of the ser.cfg that shows errors:
dns=no
rev_dns=no
fifo="/tmp/ser_fifo"
fifo_db_url="mysql://ser:heslo@localhost/ser"
loadmodule "/usr/local/lib/ser/modules/mysql.so"

HI Graham,
This log says, there have syntax error in your configuration file.
Why don't you post first 10/15 lines of you configuration file.
Thanks,
Mohammad

Subject: [Serusers] Working ser.cfg with mySQL authentication
Does anyone have a working example of ser.cfg with mySQL authentication
they can share please.
I have version 03a of the Onsip "SER Getting Started" documentation but the
example given results is errors:
# ser
0(49443) parse error (8,1-12): syntax error
0(49443) parse error (8,12-13): unknown config variable
0(49443) parse error (10,1-11):
ERROR: bad config file (3 errors)
#
I think the Onsip doc. authors acknowledge this but have not updated the
doc. yet.

FIFO fr httpd process to read and write. But still I am getting error.
Any pointers for to resolve this will be helpful.

I have experienced a situation where SER (0.9.1) has stopped processing all
register requests. Note I am also running mediaproxy 1.3.0.
TOP shows 8 ser processes running each using between 10-15% CPU. There is
one zombie process which is shown as [SER] <defunct> when I do a ps ax.
There are only 9 running processes (8 SER + top).
This is a test server that is not doing anything else and I am simply trying
to register 1 UA against it. The server was running fine for a few days and
then suddenly went AWOL.
I looked back through the log and found the following although I don't think
this is causing the current problem
Apr 25 20:36:51 beta mediaproxy[23057]: command request

Any suggestions on what's the best way to try and find out what's causing
it? Shouting "Stop" loudly did not work. Killing SER and starting again
would probably work but I'd rather try to find out what went wrong. Maybe
these are the pleasures of using a non-stable version?

Hi, ALL:
I know ser can insert INVITE & BYE records to acc table.
Maybe the timestamp of BYE record is correct but the timestamp
of INVITE is not equal to the call start(after the callee answered).
Is there any method to generate a record with timestamp when the callee answer?
I think that it should be the callee responses "200 OK" after "100 Trying".
How to do it???

Hi, ALL:
I have an username '1011' on my subscriber table and I want my 1011
can map to a name 'charles' for alias on my aliases table.
all subscribers and aliases are the same domain.
But I use lookup("aliases"), and I have a record on aliases table.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I dial to 1011 from another UAC and register on the same ser sip proxy.
It works fine.
But I dial to charles. It failed.
Does anybody know what it happen and how to solve it?
