hi all,
Using Ser 0.9.6 and asterisk(s) as pstn gateways.
Asterisks are used for the Billing on the pstn.
For sip --> sip calls, no billing, just accounting of the normal and
missed calls.
The problem is REINVITEs, ACC module record all the Invites and ACK,
even when it's a Reinvite (has_totag).
I use the flags for telling Ser what to account, I never set the flags
for Reinvites, not even reset the flags.
Is ther a simple way to avoid recording of Reinvites in the ACC table?
Thanks,
Olivier
Hi,
you have to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable before running ser (see
"3.4 Running SER" in presence handbook):
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/base/ser/directory/lib/ser
/base/ser/directory/sbin/ser -f /base/ser/directory/etc/ser/ser.cfg

Hi all,
I'm using Windows Messenger 5.0 as SIP communication to send IM between clients.
It has successfully log into SER server I've built. But when another client log in, the icon on messenger doesn't change to online.I try to send IM but It failed, but when I call using x-lite, it works.
What's the problem. Please help!!

Hello, I have two SER servers - One acting as a proxy
(0.9.6) and the second as a presence (0.10). I am
forwarding SUBSCRIBE, MESSAGE, PUBLISH requests from
proxy to Presnece server. How can I make the presence
server know of "who is online"? Do I need the presence
server to point to the "location" table of the Proxy
Server or do I need to forward REGISTERS from proxy to
Presence server??
Any help will be much appreciated

Dear all,
Thank you very much for this chance. Thank you very much for your time to read my problem. Thanks
All, I still get some doubts in understanding TLS because untill now, my lecturer still want me to evidence that the communication with TLS support is secure eventhough I have told him that the securing communication in TLS
is in the encyption method. But, He still does not believe me. In his opinion, He said that I have to evidence it by eavesdropping the communication, so I can show the difference between communication with TLS and the communication without TLS.
Of course, I am confused because as I know frOm the mailinglist and TLS tutorial, it is not necessary to proof because the security is in encryption in TLS.
Does anybody can help me to solve my problem?
Here are some question that I have to ask to you. Maybe the answer that I got from these questions,
can I use to evidence the secure communication in TLS. Please help me..Please
1. Would anybody mind give me or show me the statement which tell the communication in TLS is secure?
2. Would anybody mind give me or show me how the call flow in TLS support?
(I mean the flow of encrypt call by using TLS)
3. In voIP communication, from where the sniffer can eavesdrop the communication untill TLS is built to protect communication? and by using TLS, is this hole closed ?(so the communication becomes secure?)
Those are the questions. I do hope anybody can give me an answer so I can show it to my lecturer to proof that the TLS communication is secure.
Please give me a suggestion. Please..
Thank you very much :)

Ferianto

Hi there,
I've read your post in mailing list about voice_silo table.
I setup my SER 0.9.7 and I am trying to activate msilo module to store voice message for offline user.
I've checked the SER database and found that there is no table named voice_silo.
Please help me with the table description so I can create the table.
And please tell me how voicemail is store? ( I mean if it is store directly into voice_silo table using x-lite or we must use other application to input voice then store it into any folder). I really need detail because I'm newbie in Linux.
Thanx

I need to rewrite the URI based on the @from field and then route the call to another proxy.
How to do it with routing scripts?
Is there any documentation available on the routing scripts?
