Hi Samuel,
I have the same problem with notification and other presence messages with you.
Can you tell me which Linux distribution you are using Ser on ?
Also please include version numbers for libraries that are required by Ser.
I am trying to find similarities between yours and my ser server.
Thanks,
ilker

First of all, I have to thank you for the time you spent writing the handbook, it's really really helpfull....I wish all SER related parts had this docs..
I'll try to get familiar with the code of the notifications and I'll try to find something....which I don't thing so :P. I'll also merge the two functionalities (proxy + presence) in a unique config file to see if it works.
I hope I can provide more info these following days.
About the missing things in the presence handbook, probably the most important is the new xcap module because in the sample config files it's missing.
Another thing is that in the XCAP structure description, the im-rules directory is missing, which might lead to misunderstandings. I downloaded the structure from the iptel's ftp and inside the im-rules there were several files corresponding to presence-rules which should be either removed or updated with the im-rules namespaces and removing the whitelist.
Thanks,
Samuel.

Hi All
Just out of curiosity does anyone have a guestimate of how many SER
and Asterisk servers FWD uses to provision their +500K customers?

I have created the resource list for the user's contact list and I am
sending a SUBSCRIBE to it with Req-URI sam-list(a)test.mydomain.com.
Unfortunately I've got next ERROR in the log:
5(30685) list named default

5(30685) parse_headers: flags=21

Is there some config issue either in my eyeBeam or in the SER that is
causing this problem?
Any comment is really wellcome!!

Dear all,
in the last version of OpenSER 1.0.1 I found the utility serpgctl
(located in openser-1.0.1/modules/postgres), which should replace
openserctl for usage with PostgreSQL. However, this utility is not up to
date with latest fifo commands and it differs quite much from openserctl.
Does anyone have an up-to-date openserctl for using with PostgreSQL?
Thanks in advance, regards.

Hi all,
A nice easy one for you..... I am totally new to sip and Linux so could someone give me the commands I need to install the rtpproxy?
Any help appreciated.
Luke.
Hi,
We'd like to make a failover system using openser,
DNS SRV records seems like a good idea, for failover and load balancing.
But it would be nice if, we could share or replicate SIP dialogs between
opnser instances.
UAs should send all messages to more proxys, and if one proxy die, the
dialog should by handled by an other one.
Example: -UA send an INVITE to proxy1
-proxy1 die
-UA send the BYE at the end of the session to proy2,
which could match this dialog, because it maintance the states of the
dialogs too.
Is is possible?
Thanks!
Tomi
Hello, I'm trying to buld a system of SER with radius support. I use
Redhat 9 and radiusclient-ng-0.5.2. In my system, I installed SER
0.9.5 and freeRADIUS 1.1.1.
I was able installing all of them succesfully. After I configure SER
to have the radius support, I get this error message when I try to
start SER:
0(5071) ERROR: load_module: could not open module
</usr/local/lib/ser/modules/auth_radius.so>: libradiusclient-ng.so.2:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
0(5071) parse error (32,13-14): failed to load module
0(5071) parse error (89,32-33): unknown command, missing loadmodule?
I have checked the SER modules in my system, and there is
auth_radius.so in /usr/local/lib/ser/modules. I also checked the
libradiusclient library, and there is libradiusclient-ng.so.2 in
/usr/local/lib.
I don't know what's wrong with my system. Below is my ser.cfg file. Is
there anybody that can give some help?
