If I have multiple SER servers, should they each have their own database,
or can they all share the same database? They're all going to be for the
same purpose and will have the exact same subscriber, alias, etc
information.
Cheers,

Hi,
In my Ser installation with mysql db, I see some tables for presentity and RLS such as;
presentity
presentity_contact
presentity_notes
presentity_persons
rls_subscription
rls_vs
rls_vs_names
But they are empty tables and seems that they are not used anyhow.
How can I make use of these tables ?
I wonder how to save presence info on db.
Thanks for any information.
Regards,
ilker

How about some sort of Voicemail? You can think on a predefined message to only register the caller number, or the hole Voicemail mechanism for voice messages... than a predefined message (or e-mail) to tell the 'off-line'
user that someone has called.

Hi,
Is there a way to log missed calls for offline users and then inform the user when the user is online ?
For offline messages it can be done with msilo module, but what about offline missed calls ?
Thanks,
ilker

Hi all,
I'm having problems loading the mysql module. Seems to be a linker
issue - the debug says function floor isn't exported. Anything
different required to build or load this module under Solaris10? Do I
have to force a 64 bit link or something? The Makefile has a bunch of
64 bit stuff in it:
gcc -fPIC -DPIC -g -O9 -funroll-loops -Wall -mcpu=ultrasparc
-mtune=ultrasparc -DNAME='"openser"' -DVERSION='"1.0.1"'
-DARCH='"sparc64"' -DOS='"solaris"' -DCOMPILER='"gcc 3.4.3"'
-D__CPU_sparc64 -D__OS_solaris .....
All the other modules load just fine... Here's my openser stdout:
0(12978) loading module /usr/local/lib/openser/modules/mysql.so
0(12978) ERROR: load_module: could not open module
</usr/local/lib/openser/modules/mysql.so>: ld.so.1: openser: fatal:
relocation error: file /usr/local/lib/openser/modules/mysql.so: symbol
floor: referenced symbol not found
ldd shows this, but it's not very helpful:
bash-3.00# ldd /usr/local/lib/openser/modules/mysql.so
libz.so => /usr/lib/libz.so
libc.so.1 => /lib/libc.so.1
libm.so.2 => /lib/libm.so.2
/platform/SUNW,UltraAX-i2/lib/libc_psr.so.1
I've played with LDFLAGS, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, etc. Any tips or pointers in
the right direction would be welcomed if this rings a bell with anyone.
Thanks in advance!
Bret

I'm trying to build Openser with these requirements. Sorry, for the newbie questions.
I have 10 users and a PSTN gateway. Let's say each users makes a call for 10 minutes. Is it possible to just show 100 minutes being charged on the PSTN gateway instead of 10 seperate users?
If that is possible. Would I need the B2BUA in asterisk to accomplish this?
I read Asterisk at large. I was wondering besides using Asterisk for voicemail, what other functions are used with integrating asterisk and openser?

hi guys,
happy OpenSER's 1st Anniversary and happy world cup!
I configure the TLS on OpenSER-1.0.1 release, but it doesn't work well.
i searched on the web and found the discussion (attach it below) which posted monthes ago,
my problem is very similar to it.
but i can't find any conclusion about this discussion.
Does anyone has resolved the similar problem, can you share the experiences?
thanks in advance.
my openssl's version is 0.9.8a
when used snom360 to connect openser via tls, it blocked and freezed after receive ServerHelloDone.
windows messenger 5.1 can go further, but still popup the "There was a problem verifying the certificate..." msg.
and openser print the error are SSL_ERROR_WANT_READ and SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL...
my certificate should be right, i have checked and regenerated it heaps of times...

Hello everybody,
today OpenSER is one year old. In the hope that its first year brought
many features needed by you, helped you in your business, study or just
in private use, we will like to thank to all developers and community
members for their contributions, support, usage and testing of OpenSER.
The news and summary of this year of activity is posted at:
http://openser.org/openser-news-20060614.php
For the next year, we look forward to many new features, to make the
functionality fit in most of business cases, from residential services
to carrier grade. We are welcoming ideas and contributions as well as
patches and testing reports.
