Hi All,
I am working on Openser 1.3.2 version with no_tls support.
When i include

for the presence and run openserctl moni i am getting the error as
ERROR: Error opening OpenSER's FIFO /tmp/openser_fifo
ERROR: Make sure you have the line 'modparam("mi_fifo", "fifo_name",

Hi!
I really do not understand why so many people think that the name should
include the word "open" or should somehow include parts of the protocol
(SIP) or its usage (server, proxy ...).
If I take a look at very successful open source projects they do not
follow this, e.g. Apache, Eclipse, Pidgin, Wireshark, Asterisk, Tomcat,
Boost ...

Hi Ali,
I think that you must call :
if(status=="180")
{
xlog("this is a 180 Ringing reply");
};
if(status=="200")
{
xlog("this is a 200 OK reply");
};
in the onreply_route, note in tne route function
Hi,
I am using openSER as a simple sip proxy for calls between two sip end-points. By snooping the traffic I can verify that the openSER proxies ALL sip messages/responses but non of the following log statements do not log the response messages (180, 200). Am I missing anything.
route
{
xlog("(route) usr=$ru method=$rm request_port=$rp received_port=$Rp original port=$op destination_port=$dp src_port=$sp");
xlog("(route) reply_status=$rs");
if(status=="180")
{
xlog("this is a 180 Ringing reply");
};
if(status=="200")
{
xlog("this is a 200 OK reply");
};
.....
}
Thanks,

I do not like it.
I think that at least the word "Open" must be included in the new name

Yazid
Hi,
I tried to use SER openimscore and connect it with sailfin.
Tried to register using X-Lite.
What I get in the Core is SIP: Status:404 Not Found - destination user not found on this S-CSCF
I am using a default user (Alice and Bob),, so it is kinda strange to get this information, user not found.
Thanks for the answers given
Dear All
I am working with some developers to create a sip client that supports
TLS for me. During the beta stage they created the phone and it sent
"sips" packets with transport=tls in the packet.
The thing is that I used the sethostport and t_relay to send data to my
PSTN gateway that works on UDP but in both cases I was not able to make
PSTN calls.
The developers created a custom openser.cfg that rewrites sips packets
to sip and removes the transport=tls from the packets. How efficient is
this ? Is this the typical approach to make a TLS call through Openser
where the PSTN gateway does not support TLS ?
Please have a look at the config file if you can.

Hello!
I am also up for a meeting in Bucharest on Monday next week. It will be
a good chance to get different points of view about the
kamailio/opensips discussion and the way developers and board members
think to move forward in the future.

Hello Everybody,
as many expressed their intention for an openser/kamailio event in
Bucharest, next week, I am going to organize a dinner in a place with
nice Romanian beer, wine and food. Seeing the suggestions for the date,
I am proposing August 11, 2008 (Monday) -- let me know if you have
opinions. Exact hour and place will be sent as soon as I get an idea
about number of participants.
So far, expressed the intention to participate:
- Henning Westerholt, developer and board member
- Elena-Ramona Modroiu, developer and board member
- Daniel-Constantin Mierla, developer and board member
- Michiel ten Hagen
- Sebastian Schuman
Please write me if you want to attend, I need to know the number of
attendants to make the reservation. The event is in the same fashion as
the ones happening in Barcelona, Vienna, Berlin, ..., in the past --
everybody pays for its expenses.
If you want to have some preamble (might not be same place, but...), you
can check some photos from last similar event in Bucharest after the
ROSDEV2008 conference:

Cheers,
Daniel

Hello,
We have an fr_inv_timer set to 45 secs. When i make calls to an 800 number, the call hits to the 1st provider on LCR and IVR recording starts asking to hit an option 1,2,3,etc & if the caller dont hit any option and leave the call up to 45 secs. Than fr_inv_timer kills the transaction by sending a CANCEL message and thereby openser forces the call to send it over to the fail over route. Is this correct should it try the call on the failover route because the 1st provider was able to complete the call than why the call went over to the failover route?
here as soon as the call switches to the 2nd provider the IVR message starts again from the option 1 leaving the option 3 in the middle of the recording. is this correct?
let me know if the query is not clear.
Thanks in advance
