How can I use a module from the devel branch in a stable varsion installation

Hello, I would like to use rtpproxy-ng module from the devel branch in an 4.0.4 installation. I have succesfully compiled the mediaproxy-ng kernel modules. I would like to know if there is a way to compile the rtpproxy-ng module in the devel branch in such a way that I dont get the following error "kamailio: ERROR: <core> [sr_module.c:422]: version_control(): ERROR: module version mismatch for /usr/local/lib/kamailio/modules/rtpproxy-ng.so; core: kamailio 4.0.4 (i386/linux); module: kamailio 4.1.0-pre0 (i386/linux)" Thanks.

Issue with failure_route on kamailio 4.0

Hello, I am trying to upgrade from kamailio 1.4 to 4.0. I am having an issue with call forwarding: I send the call to a subscriber (location) and if it doesn't answer, there is a failure_route to do the forward. It is something like this: failure_route[1] { $ru = "sip:0313241342@192.168.2.2" append_branch(); t_relay(); } However, the INVITE is sent to both the subscriber location and the new branch. So, is it now necessary to somehow to "drop" the original branch? If so, how do I do that? Regards, Takeshi

Hi kamailio'ns I am working on MSRP module of Kamailio serverV 4.0.3, which is installed from Ubuntu 12.04(precise) repository. When i am trying to register SIP clients(Blink) to kamailio server, frequently logging following user location related errors in syslog, SIP clients are registering to kamailio sever successfully, but still logging these errors and client presence is not visible to other client. Kamailio network edge for registration and rtp pass-through

Hi All, Starting a new project, roll your own SBC, not a full SBC, just need some minor functionality. I'm interested in deploying Kamailio as a edge device on a VSP for single entry point for hosted PBX's, Asterisk based. I had some wonderful and informative conversations at Astricon 2013, several folks assuring me Kamailio w/rtpproxy was the tool for the job, so this is a follow up to delve more into details. I've been researching configs, topology, modules needed, ect... Most of the examples I'm reading about for this scenario are spreading the registrations across many PBX's without distinction. One concept I'm struggling with is having a specific phone register to a specific PBX. phone-customer-A-x101><internet><kamailio><PBX-customer-A-x101 phone-customer-B-x101><internet><kamailio><PBX-customer-B-x101 phone-customer-C-x101><internet><kamailio><PBX-customer-B-x101 I could add a unique identifier to some part of the registration of each phone like 'custA-101@kamailio_server', custB-101@kamailio_server, ect. What I'm not clear on is when the request comes to kamailio, where would I identify what PBX the phone should register to and how to re-write the 'custA-101@kamailio_server' to '101@custA-pbx' and forward to the correct PBX and ensure rtp flows through kamailio. Could this function be derived using dbaliases or possibly using dispatcher with group number for each customer PBX? So assuming I can get the registrations to work properly, would standard invite for calling just work or would I also have to have specific config in place to ensure an invite from customer A phone also reaches the correct customer A PBX? Help With kamailio not responding ack propperly.

Invite Fragmented

Hi, There are often times where key packets are missing from homer traces. This seems to be caused by packet fragmentation. It is most readily evidenced by the trace showing an Invite entering the SBC from the outside and then no invite on the inside being seen but the 100 trying is seen on both sides. Any Idea why? Dear Kamailio'ns, I have Installed kamailio V 4.0.3 from Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) repository and running successfully. now i have to work around MSRP relay module of kamailio sever to achieve file transfer between two SIP clients. so, i just tried to install MSRP module, but i get logged as below: /$ sudo apt-get install kamailio-msrp-modules Reading package lists...
