Dear All
I had an issue with my kamailio that non-registered users were able to send
calls "I.e. similar to Asterisk Peer mode" . So I did add the following
statement
if(!reg_fetch_contacts("location", "$fu", "caller"))
{
sl_send_reply("403", "Please register first");
exit;
}
That did fix the the problem with my registration issues, however as a a
side effect the location table is not updated anymore and this broke a few
scripts I use to maintain a few aspects of my system.
kamctl ul --show does display all users correctly.
However the database table only contains a few entries.
My location settings are :
# ----- usrloc params -----
/* enable DB persistency for location entries */
#!ifdef WITH_USRLOCDB
modparam("usrloc", "timer_interval", 1)
modparam("usrloc", "db_url", DBURL)
modparam("usrloc", "db_mode", 2)
modparam("usrloc", "use_domain", MULTIDOMAIN)
#!endif
Please advice

Dear All,
I have integrated Kamailio (Version 4.0.1) with Asterisk (Version 11.4.0
rc1) server. I should have get VoIP features(call, SMS) with this
integrated server. But when i tried to call other end SIP client through
this integrated server, I'm getting this '*481 dialog/transaction does not
exists*' error (please find the attachment 'call.pcap' below).
SMS is through with the kamailio server without any problem (Find the
attachment 'SMS.pcap' below).
But when it comes to Calling feature, something is wrong and i am unable to
find it.
So please help me in resolving this issue.
My system configuration is as follows:
Host Architecture: i686
OS : Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Clients: Wi-Fi enabled VoIP phones.
Also find the attachments below for the kamailio configuration file and
Asterisk's sip.conf and extension.conf files. And tcpdump based trace files
for Calling and SMSing process, to give a more complete picture.
Any help will greatly appreciate.
*Thank you and Best regards,*

Hi All,
As said i tested with debug=3 and got two set of logs..
1 - User A succesfully send IM to User B ( with tcp)
2 - User B try to send IM to User B ( with tcp ) = FAIL
Kindly help me understand what is happening ..
1. I could see that there i 2 via headers added by Kamailio server.
2. I tested with
sudo kamcmd core.tcp_list
I get 2 connection ( with 2 users registred with TCP)
But when i try to send message from User 2 to User 1, i see that 1 more
connection is added.
But here the port is confusing. becuase the other 2 tcp connection shows
the rport of the users. But with the 3rd connection the port is shown as
5060..
I am attaching the log below. Also i am attaching the log file your

Hi,
I wish to enable only TLS transport listening on port 5061 for domain
xyz.com (say)
What combination of the following do I need?
alias=
listen=
port=
Everything I've attempted so far has resulted in a segfault or
kamailio failing to start. My existing configuration works fine for
TLS if I don't try and disable any other transport.
I am currently enforcing TLS via iptables as a crude hack. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
Regards,
John

I would like to upgrade kamailio from 3.3.x to 4.0, I see this document about database and config file changes http://www.kamailio.org/wiki/install/upgrade/3.3.x-to-4.0.0
I currently have 3.3.x installed from GIT, is there an easy way to remove or will I have to delete files manually and then install 4.0?

Hi All
Today i could find some information from the logs.
When i tested the command :
sudo kamcmd core.tcp_list
I get 2 connection ( with 2 users regitred with TCP)
But when i try to send message from User 2 to User 1, i see that 1 more
connection is added.
But here the port is confusing. becuase the other 2 tcp connection shows
the rport of the users. But with the 3rd connection the port is shown as
5060..
I feel Kamailio is adding a new TCP connection instead of using the
existing connection between the client and Kamailio with the rport number.
I read that we can use (force_rport()) , but i could not understand how to
use it . Alo when i gave
force_rport=yes inside the global parameter of Kamaili.cfg file, i still
face the same issue.
This issue exists even when User 2 try to call/IM to User 1.
my laptop is User 1. But i can send IM/Call User 2 succeessfully. I dont
understand how my machine can send IM/call successfully, and why no other
user can do the same?
Kindly support me

Thanks for the answer. That worked like a charm.
