Hi are there any debian packages released with the TLS support compiled in? i found all other packages for debian, but none with TLS support.

Hi,
unfortunately the deb packages do not provide TLS support due some licence compatibility issues with openssl library.
most probably you need to get the sources and compile them.

Alternatively, you just need to: - apt-get build-dep openser - apt-get install libssl-dev - get the openser source, link packaging/debian to debian - {vim,emacs} debian/rules Set the TLS variable to 1 - debuild (from the devscripts package)
And here you have your openser w/SSL debian packages.
(with the openser 1.2 packages that should land in unstable shortly, you'll just have to apt-get source openser, set TLS=1 in debian/rules and rebuild, as I'm using the TLS source tarball)
