Do I need to uninstall SER if I want to update SER v0.9.4 to SER v0.9.6? How can I uninstall SER? The command "make uninstall" do not work. Thanks!

Running on make install should overwrite the binaries so essentially you do not need to uninstall anything. If you want to, you can track down the binaries and remove them by hand.
