Hi
Iam looking some suggestion here
after reading some thread some time back people are recomending to use rtpproxy in other PC to achive more calls
P4d with 2GB ram, IDE 160GB, 3 Gigabit Ethernet ( only openser)
Xeon with 2GB RAM, SCCI hdd / 2 Giga Ethernet ( mysql, radius, cdrtools, frontend /asterisk for voice mail and b2bua)
P4 with 2GB RAM IDE 16GB/ 2 Gigabit Ethernet ( only for rtpproxy)
openser server connected with other server with cross cable. one ethernet is connected to internet
with this setup can i able to achive 1000cals per second.
what is the recomendations here. any suggestions

It mostly depends on your configuration. E.g. how many database lookups (for authentication, loading and storing of user preferences, accounting ...) are done inside openser.cfg.
Thus, it is impossible to guess the max. calls based on hardware.

Hi thanks for quick reply
yes iam using the logic inside check authentication, accounting, NAT detection.

Hi
can some one recomend me in this kind of setup
database run in different server and rtpproxy (rtp) run in different server
so can i achive this with 1000calls
any body using RAID 10 for OpenSER to get a better performance ?
ram
how many channels will be relayed by RTPProxy?
It is also the important point you should consider.
Best regards, Gang Liu

RTP Proxy going to be Another Server i can expect 50% of the traffic
and I would like to log each and every call siptrace.
suggestion will be appriciated

Pls search SER or OpenSer maillist to find feeback of RTPproxy performance. I don't update information of rtpproxy.
I used mediaproxy before, it can't handle more then 100 calls on a normal one CPU server. But it has cluster support so we could put more pc server.
I think database, RTP relay is most important things. Slow database and bad design sql query will be nightmare. OpenSer or SER is very good performance if your script is ok.
