got when unsubscribing. But the subs_status in watchers table is still active, is that

Indeed, when the subscription expires and the status becames terminated
with reason= timeout, no update occures in the watchers table because
this is not really an issue of authorization and the previous state is
actually the state that the next Subscription will have.
