Hi all,
I am trying to make a call between 2 different domains. I have my SRV
and NAPTR records in the zone file. I am getting the following error:
0(11285) get_record: lookup(_sip._udp.test.org, 33) failed
0(11285) sip_resolvehost: no SRV record found for test.org, trying
'normal lookup'
Please tell me the correct format of SRV record.
Kindly help me in this regard.

It looks like any other SRV record. For _sip._udp you would enter
something like this into your zone file:
IN SRV 0 1 5060 yourserserver.test.org
But... are you sure that you own the zone file for the domain
'test.org'?

Hi Olaf,
I was able to fix this problem. The problem was with the syntax in the
zone file.
Also I would like to know if I have 2 domains say test.org and
e164.arpa, should I have 2 different zone files with SRV records in
these 2 domains.
Ie in test.org zone file i will have srv records for that domain and the
same for e164.arpa domain. Is my understanding correct.

Usually yes. But I do not know your DNS server. Maybe there are
configurations where you can use the same zone file for distinct
domains (maybe use symbolic links?).

This is how nameserver configuration typically works.
