Hi Olaf,
I was able to fix this problem. The problem was with the syntax in the
zone file.
Also I would like to know if I have 2 domains say
test.org and
e164.arpa, should I have 2 different zone files with SRV records in
these 2 domains.
Ie in
test.org zone file i will have srv records for that domain and the
same for e164.arpa domain. Is my understanding correct.

Geethanjali

It looks like any other SRV record. For _sip._udp you would enter
something like this into your zone file:
IN SRV 0 1 5060
yourserserver.test.org
But... are you sure that you own the zone file for the domain
'test.org'?
