When rpm does not give an error message and returns to the shell prompt, then the installation was succesfull.
Check if there is a /etc/ser/ser.cfg file and try to start the proxy using
/etc/init.d/ser start
as root.

I try to install the packages/redhat9/*.rpm from the Terminal but
typing the command "rpm -i /mypath/*/rpm" th screen show nothing.. the
packages is not installed and I am not sure of the problem also. Can you
