Hi,
Firstly I'm quite new to ser...
I am trying to use the nathelper.so module with portaone rtpproxy. I have the latest ser release 0.8.12 installed from rpm on red hat 9.
I get pass: loadmodule "/usr/lib/ser/modules/nathelper.so" and: modparam("registrar", "nat_flag", 6) modparam("nathelper", "natping_interval", 30) ...uptill here everything is OK however when I also add: modparam("nathelper", "ping_nated_only", 1) I get: Starting ser: ERROR: bad config file (1 errors)
I also get the same error when trying to use the nat_uac_test function.
Can anyone help me out ? Am I missing something ?
Any help greatly appreciated....
Thanks,
Dave
The nathelper module features you are trying to use are not available in the rpm or source of the 0.8.12 release. They are only available from the CVS stable branch (http://www.iptel.org/ser/cvs/).

Somebody should point that out at http://iptel.org/ser because most people seem to run into that problem. Alternatively a update of the .deb .rmp files would help.

An update would probably not bad, but on the other side people seem to read only what they like/looking for. Otherwise i cant explain where these people read about the new features (AFAIK they are only documented at the mailing lists yet, except in the source code), but still miss how to get them (and as you allready pointed out, many people seem to miss that) allthough this had been explained many times on the lists.

Hi Dave, To get more detail on error messages (which line in your configuration file, etc), look in: /var/log/messages
