Just out of curiosity, i tried to build ser with static modules ... I use ser.0.9.6 (from January or so). This is the error i got ... any quick answer? Everything else seems to work fine ...

Ok, the compilation is fixed ... now i got problems with linking :) It is due to symbols being repeated ... i will try to find a nice way to fix it ...
Has ever anyone tried to use the modules linked statically? i guess not ...
See the attached patch file for "my fix" for the compilation ... i hope it is ok ...
