I am not expert this subject matter. Being ask on how SIP system can complement the IBMS.

Doing some background work on what are the potential SIP/SER functions/feature can do to work with IBMS (non-product/vendor specific).

I have to confess I don't know this big word -- I guess you are not referring to The Institute of Biomedical Science, are you ;) ?

Just wonder have anyone attempt to integrate any IBMS with SIP especially using SER of any sort, it could be a simple as using appliance controller such as X.10 to switch on/off a lamp or open/clooor door, from an SIP UA, such as IP Phone, up to programming a

plug-ins to interface with IBMS system controller it self.

Am exploring how this kind of integration has matured, what kind of functions/feature that SIP can offer to the IBMS.

What is development effort of SER is required to make this kind integration works?
