Hi All,
Has anyone successfully used WIP-5000 on ser? I'm trying to configure one, I can see it registering on the SIP Server, it even send out a SIP 200 Ok to the WIP-5000.
Also I when I do serctl ul show <username>, I can see that it registered, but on the WIP-5000, it show Not Registered, anyone encountered this problem?
Thanks in advance
Regards, Ron
Could be a firewall / nat port issue on your client side. Sounds like the 200 OK isn't received by your WIP-5000.
We have this same issue occasionally with certain residential cable/dsl routers when putting the Sipura SPA-2000 behind them. Usually setting up port forwarding for 5060 (or whatever SIP port you use), or setting up a DMZ to your SIP device will do the trick.

I had identical symptoms which were resolved by updating the firmware to 1.5.0a2.
*BUT*, remember that YMMV depending on SER config, firewalls, etc.
cheers

Thank you for your reply. Now I'm trying to find out what's the tftp server for their software upgrade or any site where I can download it and put it on my tftp server. Where did you upgrade?
Also, what is YMMV?
