I am running openser behind the firewall.
and advertised_address is set correctly to the external ip address.
but record route seem to send the local/internal ip address.
help is appreciated.

Hi,
advertised_address does not affect the record routing (there is already
a bug report on this topic).
what you can do is to use set_advertised_address() and
set_advertised_port() functions :
