That's actually something I'm working on at the moment, but in a limited
fashion. In theory, changing the From: header is against the RFC and
therefore forbidden. However, there is a module called UAC which will change
the headers on an individual basis. There is no easy way to change the headers
in a programmatical basis, though (I'm more interested in stripping or
modifying the display name information than the actual from header to prevent
some of the more clever methods of caller ID spoofing).
If you're using Openser, there are ways of passing AVPs to the UAC module in
order to do this, but I am not at the moment, and it's difficult for me to
switch the production system right now.

Hi all,
is it possible to manipulate the From-Header (similiar to strip() and
prefix()), before relaying a INVITE message? If so, how do I do this?

Stefan
