I will , I just need to trawl through it, my documentation skills are
near non-existant

Could you possibly share the code you edited? I'd prefer to add a username
to alias like you say, or just stop people using text usernames completely.

Subject: Re: [Serusers] text ased username & alias table
I had the same problem, a name was great on softphones, harphones are a
pain, and u got to realise that somewhere we're gonna have to use
numbers.
As for every user getting 82000 , how are u adding the numbers is it
using serweb, if so you need to look at the config file, where u have a
choice out of autoincrement or a random number.
I changed the logic so that when a user selects a name, it gets added to
alias, and the number generated gets added to subscriber. I dont
randomly generate numbers , instead I take them from the PSTN number
that I assign them, the last x number of digits. that way the number is
the main id, the alias is the name, it also makes it easier when u come
to do voicemail later on.

Hi,
A number of my users have signed up with a text based username rather than
a
number. If the user logs in to serweb it says
their alias is 82000, however
every singal user gets assigned this, why is that?
1./ From a hard phone, how would i dial the number trakman ?
2./ How do i assign a unique alias to users ?
Thanks
