Hello,
I moved the Kamailio database to RDS from a local instance and noticed that there were a large number of connections from the Kamailio user. What is the normal number of connection that can be expected?

Hello,
usually is one connection per kamailio process per database (note it is per database, not per database server).
You can see how many processes are created by a kamailio instance with "kamctl ps".
