Is it possible to have kamailio register to a different proxy and
route calls through that proxy ?

Kamailio has a UAC module that can synthesise such requests, but they
still have to be triggered somehow. Kamailio cannot endogenously and
asynchronously generate them.
In any case, it is not a good idea if you can avoid it; that's not
really what Kamailio is for.
