Hello,
OpenSIPS has a module for B2BUA. Does Kamailio have a similar one or one that comes close to it? Perhaps by combining modules to make Kamailio act as a B2BUA?

No. Furthermore, there is a very serious question as to whether such a thing is a good idea.
Or, to be put it another way: Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. There are quite a few things in OpenSIPS that prompt this thought.

please elaborate. many people have been wondering for some time now what the technical differences between these projects might be.
I don't think many people here (or there) are in an authoritative position to say what those differences are, either. You can get a pretty good idea by reading the projects' respective documentation and module lists.
Anyway, to the original point:
If you need a lightweight and high-performance B2BUA in series with your Kamailio deployment, use SEMS + its sbc module.
It's a far more robust approach and long-term strategy than to bake a half-assed B2BUA into something that was designed as a proxy core from the ground up, and in no way intended to house a B2BUA.
