Hi,
I would like to ask whether it is possible to allow permanent registration
with the server i.e. Once the SIP client registered successfully with the
server, the registration record will not expire until we delete it
manually.

Not without a small modification of the sources -- each record has a
flag field, one of the flags means that the record is permanent. You
would need to turn this flag on somehow.

not sure but I think serctl may have this as a feature...or just set a
really long expire time
