ok thanks Daniel, I did not expect to find this info
in the XCAP
client module. Also it sounds now logical.
So if I understood well reading this devel document
<http://www.asipto.com/pub/kamailio-devel-guide/#c10mi> my XCAP server
only needs to open the FIFO, writes:
:refreshXcapDoc:fifo_reply
/xcap-root/resource-lists/users/eyebeam/buddies-resource-list.xml
8000
_empty_line_
...
and that's it ?
yes, if you use mi_fifo in your config file. Alternatives are
UDP or
XMLRPC messages by using mi_datagram or mi_xmlrpc modules.
Cheers,
Daniel
Thanks

Hi
I am planning to use the RLS module with an external XCAP
server (integrated_xcap_server=0) to store users
resource-lists documents.
My question is related to the changes of a such resource-lists
document and how the RLS server behaves. I've read carrefully
the module documentation
<http://kamailio.org/docs/modules/1.5.x/rls.html#id2469762>
but this point remains unclear.
Let's say that user U1 has subscribed to her resource-lists,
stored in a XCAP server, that contains contacts U2 and U3. U1
receives notifications of status updates of U2 and U3.
If U1 adds a new contact U4 to the resource-lists (eg. using
XCAP), does the RLS detects this change and subscribes to U4
status updates ?
the xcap server has to issue a mi command to tell sip proxy to
refresh document:
http://kamailio.org/docs/modules/1.5.x/xcap_client.html#id2453611
Cheers,
Daniel
