HI again,
Forgot to add. You clients should use domain name, not IP address. So,
first of all setup your DNS service and make it run. But if you still
need to use IP address, the only IP address you can actually use from
outside your NATed net is public IP address of your proxy server (not
SIP proxy). Might work, but im not sure though.

Hi,
First of all, dont confuse local IP address with private IP address.
These are 2 different things.
And of course all the clients outside the NATed network (network which
uses private addresses internally) will be able to register. There's a
nathelper module designed specificaly for that. :) Just use the
configuration file, add your user and try registering from outside,
provided, of course, that you have connectivity to the public internet
from your NATed network.

Andrey.

Hi All!!
According to the SER -Getting Started Manual SER is located in the local network
and has an local IP adres. Is it some how possible to register the SIP UA from the
outside of the local net?? I mean can I register them without giving SER an public IP
adress?? If yes then what do I have to specify (what adress) in the softphones
configuration in the SIP Proxy section??
Thanks 4 any help!
