Guys, Anybody has a good and detailed SEMS+SER howto, could please share it with me. I'm making SEMS as a voicemail for SER. I'm having a hard time configuring it. Or if not SEMS + SER maybe Asterisk + SER.
Thanks,
:-) i'm looking for the same

Hi,
I do not blame creators, the document is fine, but big part of it is a simple config copy without closer explanantion, and if you are going deeply yuo are missing a closer detail, which you specially need if something is going wrong. On the other side SEMS documentations are missing at all, or maybe I was not looking carefully. Maybe therefore I'll try SER + ASTERISK for some media features as voicemail and IVR, while conferencing is configuring more easily and working fine with SER + SEMS

Check the file docs/Configure-Sems-Ser-HOWTO in the Sems source package, it describes the setup in great detail.

Hi Pavol,
I've heard that onsip.org is doing a documentation on asterisk+ser, which they slated to be released in august, but I have not heard of any news since.

We will release issue 5 of the document very soon. However, this version does not include Asterisk voicemail/IVR, but basic call features (forwarding etc), a comparison of openser/ser and an intro on CPL. Asterisk integration will be the focus of issue 6. g-)
