Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows some Windows Based softphone to do
some tests on my Kamailio 1.5.4 deployment that will allow insertion
of custom headers or at least Remote-Party-ID and/or
P-Asserted-Identity.

A softphone is never a trusted node so it should NEVER append those
headers (and the proxy should ignore and delete them if present).

Not the answer you want to hear - I always use another Kamailio which
just acts as a relay and inserts the headers (the using the Kamilio
default config and append_hf in RELAY route) and then configure this
proxy as outboundproxy in the client.

Uriel,
sipp or sipsak will do just fine, I've also used SIPp for this
particular purpose: http://sipper.agnity.com/ - useful for more complex
scenarios too (and I have no relation to the authors whatsoever:)).

You can try todays release of QjSimple 0.6.5:
http://www.ipcom.at/telefonie/qjsimple/
It allows you to specify 2 arbitrary headers to be added to the INVITE.
