Dear Community,
Call scenario:
Calling number 33825462354 Called number 44656646820
UAC (IP=1.1.1.1) => Kamailio (IP=2.2.2.2) => SIP proxy (IP=3.3.3.3)
I stocked on strange issue with module TOPOS_REDIS and PRACK message (IP=2.2.2.2 kamailio version 5.2.3).
Configuration with module TOPOS works, but because of a lot of calls we would like to use TOPOS_REDIS (avoid mysql).
I already check this: https://lists.kamailio.org/pipermail/sr-users/2018-May/101641.html and I already have fixed version of module.
In attach you can find traces (pcap file and kamailio log with debug=4)
Your help will be greatly appreciated
Kind Regards
Ernest Mavrel
Dear Community,
I forgot to mention that loose_route return false on PRACK message and consequently Kamailio return 404 Not Found as defined in configuration.
Kind Regards
Ernest Mavrel

Hello,
can you resent the sip traffic as a pcap file? The PCAP.txt is a text export, probably done with wireshark, but that is harder to analyze. Pcap format is better, can be opened again with wireshark, ngrep, etc... and generate message flows locally.
Cheers, Daniel

Hello all,
I believe I'm also affected by this on kamailio 5.4.1
loose_route() returns false for in-dialog SUBSCRIBE
The issue does not manifest with topos disabled for SUBSCRIBEs (using the appropriate event_route)
Daniel, I can provide PCAPs privately if needed. Thank you.
Best regards. George

On an unrelated note, I forgot to ask:
Ernest, how did you obfuscate the IPs in the pcap files? Is it a feature of wireshark I haven't discovered yet, or some other tool? Thanks!

Hello,
topos is designed for sip traffic related to calls, it does not track presence/subscribe dialogs, you have to skip them. Presence traffic is usually terminated on a local server, no need to hide topololy, but if anyone wants to add support for subscribe dialogs, he/she is more than welcome to submit such enhancement.
For the non-call traffic, it does transaction level topology stripping, ensuring that the reply is properly built for a request that was through topos (this is aiming at MESSAGE requests, which can be routed via interconnect trunks for SMS).
Cheers, Daniel
