Hi, Please what is the purpose of settings this SIP_DOMAIN environment variable. I tried setting mine to a different domain from the server (export SIP_DOMAIN=anotherdomain)and it still works. I don't understand. Thanks for your help.
regards,
Onyeka
Hi Onyeka,
SIP_DOMAIN environment variable is referred by serctl script. For example, when you create new user using "serctl add user pass e-mail", then the user's domain will be same as SIP_DOMAIN. To see /usr/local/sbin/serctl will help you to understand about the purpose of SIP_DOMAIN.
Cheers,

if you don't set it right, you will have lof of troubles when you switch over to multidomain or use hashed passwords which cover the domain too. Do set it consistently.
