MSN Messenger never supported SIP, only the Windows Messenger does.

Yes, you are right, it is MSN Messenger, but only the versions 5.5 to
4.7 supported SIP (via Communication Service). Starting with version 5.0
M$ stopped supporting SIP in MSN Messenger and they shift this to
Windows Messenger, but I never played with this one and I cannot provide
information about how to configure and use it.Maybe someone else on this
list.
