Correction: the line in my error_log file says : Permission denied in Unknown on line 0. What permissions need to be specified?

Hi, simply move the file to the correct location :-)
I am not sure where 'pear install' put the file. You have to find it.

Hi, the user under which your apache is running have to have read permission to this file and may be execute permission.
