Hi, I'm running kphone and presence on the openser proxy.
I see:
Feb 16 17:21:55 proxy-02 /usr/sbin/openser[7740]: PRESENCE:query_db_notify: Could not get subs_dialog from database Feb 16 17:21:55 proxy-02 /usr/sbin/openser[7740]: PRESENCE:update_subscribtion:Could not send notify for presence.winfo
does anyone know what these messages mean?
br hw
Hello,
Those messages are not error messages but debug messages. This is what has happend: A Subscribe message has been received and the presence server attempts to send inform the presentity, the user that is beeing subscribed to, that he has a new watcher. This is why the server searches for a winfo dialog (in other words if the presentity has subscribed to his presence.winfo). It seems that there isn't no such subscription and therefore you get the message: "Could not get subs_dialog from database" and then the conclusion 'Could not send notify for presence.winfo'.
Best regards,
Anca Vamanu

I'm a bit confused, if you set the "Expiry time of presence subscription" to a value greater zero, kphone always sends a SUBSCRIBE for presence.winfo. Thus a subscription should be there. Possibly you should first check this!

Sorry I haveto correct myself, it is the "Expiry time of Publish" > 0 what makes sending of SUBSCRIBE for presence.winfo and PUBLISH run!

Hello,
It is not very clear to me what you intended to say. From what I understood, a Subscribe for presence.winfo is sent by kphone if the "Expiry time of Publish" > 0. So you are sure that at the moment at which those messages appear a Subscribe had already been sent. If this is so, then we should consider the possibility of the subscription beeing erased from database. This happens is a Notify for that subscription receives an error message reply. If you find that this isn't your scenario, please send a message trace and a greater part of the openser log.
Best regards,
Anca Vamanu
