hi all, i have installed SER (ver 0.8.10) with MySql support. i have a problem. in ser.cfg when i set the "fork" parameter to "no", SER is not coming up at all. if the default "yes" is used, the server comes up just fine.
pls help. i want to disable forking somehow.

Please give more details. What do you mean with "is not comming up"? What error messages do you get? Look into your syslogs or try log_stderror=yes to get the error message dirctly onto your console

Why do you want to disable it? It is just intended for debugging purpose.
